What: HPE TSS arranged an international event for HP and partners, with over 1,800 participants. Ellis EVENTS arranged the event.
When: 13-17 June 2016
I just wanted to check in with you after our event last week and give you an official “thank you” from our side. Ellis EVENTS has been in business for almost 30 years now and we have worked with many different venues and hotels and I have to say it is rare to come along a team that is as good as yours. Always ready to help, very organized, very professional, solution oriented and just all around a great group of people to work with. This goes for all the departments we worked with, catering, people sourcing, furniture, security and venue services. Furthermore a big thank you to you personally and the project management team we highly appreciate all the work done both before the event and onsite.
The feedback both from all sides involved, clients, delegates and suppliers we work with was all around also very positive and I will be sure to share it with our internal team as well in order to make sure your venue is considered for other requests in the future as well. Please make sure also to share this feedback and my personal thanks with the entire team at your end.
Thanks once again for all the help and we are very much looking forward to working with you again soon!
What: Servicehandelsdagarna (Service sector days), 1,700 participants
When: 23–25 April 2016
“Gothia Towers is the perfect venue for our client’s event. We truly make the most of all the facilities, for our 5,500 m2 fair, our gala evening with 1,300 seated guests, seminars, meetings and talks. And not forgetting the accommodation, with everyone able to stay under the same roof. It saves a lot of time not having to transport participants between different hotels. Despite the fact that Gothia Towers is a very large venue, all services are delivered with a distinct personal touch, a high level of quality and focus on the details. This is something we value as an event company, as does our client and their customers and suppliers. Well done, Gothia Towers!”

What: High 5 Events arranged a mini exhibition for Melia Hotels at Gothia Towers venue Imagine
When: 25 March 2015.
Sara Nix, Event Manager, High 5 Events:
“Last week I was in Göteborg, running an event at the Gothia Towers Hotel with my High 5 colleague Michelle Mantle.
As an Event Manager, I think it’s so important to highlight fantastic service and I can’t praise the staff at the Gothia Towers Hotel highly enough.
Before I had even left the luggage hall at the airport, I received a phone call from Louise Antonsson (Reservations Agent Groups & Events), to introduce herself and ask what time I would like to meet her to run through our event, we agreed we would meet at 14:00 in the hotel lobby. In 16 years of event management, I can honestly say I haven’t received such slick service.
When we arrived at the hotel, we saw three people sat in an open seating area in the lobby, by the numerous lifts that take you to the three different towers. Before we could even think to look around to find someone to ask which lift goes to ‘Imagine’ our venue for the evening, Sam Sultanovic the hotels Director of Corporate Sales, immediately jumped up from his meeting to offer us assistance. He had no idea that we were Event Managers, which just goes to show the level of service the hotel offers to each and every guest. We ended up having a lovely chat and then Louise arrived to take us up to our meeting space at 14:00 on the dot!”

What: Chef of the Year 2015. The official Swedish championship for professional cooking. Around 3,000 visitors at the competition and exhibition during the daytime. 900 people at the banquet and nightclub in the evening.
When: 5 February 2015.
“The final of Chef of the Year 2015, the official Swedish championship for professional cooking, was held on 5 February 2015 at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers. We have 32 years of experience of running heats and finals at many different locations around Sweden.
A final is an extremely complex operation.
During the final, we had seminars for around 250 visitors, a food market where sponsors showcase their products and prepare food, a final with eight finalists, masters of ceremonies, live streaming, TV production, journalists and photographers, a VIP lunch, a banquet for around 850 guests including entertainment, an after-party/nightclub, and the most discerning guests imaginable when it comes to dining and service.
Altogether, there were around 4,000 visitors.
Chef of the Year is a small organisation based in Stockholm.
The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers far exceeded our expectations. The staff are extremely professional and extraordinarily solution-oriented. The food and the service were fantastic. Almost everything had been well prepared in advance, and the few problems that cropped up were dealt with quickly and smoothly. We haven’t worked with a better supplier in the last five years.”

What: 16th Annual Ground Handling International Conference. 700 international delegates
When: 10-13 November 2014
“From the moment we first visited the venue we had the impression we were working with a very professional team. Once we were on site this feeling was confirmed. I cannot speak highly enough of the “can do” attitude we experienced from the entire team. This venue has so much to offer and the quality of the facilities stands out when compared to other similar venues in Europe. We are looking forward to our return visit the next time we organise our event in Scandinavia.”

What: Physiotherapist Days, 3 day event, 1,700 participants
When: 2-4 October 2013
“In 2013, the Swedish Association of Registered Physiotherapists decided to hold its Physiotherapist Days outside Stockholm for the first time. The venue chosen was Gothia Towers/the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg. This is a major three-day event, with more than 1,700 participants, around 70 exhibitors, nine parallel scientific programmes, coffee/lunch/coffee, an evening gathering and an evening meal.
We were thoroughly pleased with Gothia Towers/the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and their fantastic premises, as well as their staff – particularly the project team, with whom we worked in the run-up to the event. Everything flowed smoothly, with clear and straightforward correspondence. They listened to our wishes, while also guiding us towards other possible solutions and ideas. They really are a professional team!
We can highly recommend Gothia Towers/the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre to other organisations!”

What: Annual conference
When: 5-8 June 2013
“On 5-8 June 2013, Universeum and Ecsite (the European Network of Science Centres and Museums) arranged an annual conference, bringing together more than 1,000 professionals from science centres, museums of natural history, aquariums and zoos from all around the world, to discuss the latest developments within scientific communication. Our cooperation with Gothia Towers/the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre worked extremely well, and we felt that we were in safe hands during both the preparations and the actual conference. We were delighted to read the participants’ comments about everything from arrival to the food – they were very pleased indeed! For example, the lunches were graded “Excellent” by 66% of participants – the highest score ever!”
Event: Banquet in Congress Hall, 800 guests
When: 12 February 2011
“Thanks for all the help we received at our event for our 800 employees. You gave us the best service imaginable and lots of useful advice on everything from selecting the menu to the smallest detail with logistics. We’re very pleased with our event at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre!”

Event: Annual congress for about 700-800 delegates
When: Organised on three ocasions by the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre
“The Swedish Dental Hygienist Association arranges Dental Hygienist Days each year. In 2011 we held the event at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers in Gothenburg for the third time. Although our concept was similar on all occasions, the event was perceived as varied, both by participants and our organisers. In no small fashion this was due to the professionalism of the people we deal with in Gothenburg.
On each occasion we were offered very good and varied suggestions for entertainment and catering. In fact, the offers covered such a wide spectrum that we felt that there was something for everyone.
The conceptualisation of the event was based on a comprehensive arrangement for approximately 700-800 people with a conference and lectures, coffee and lunch breaks, exhibitions and a festive evening with dinner and entertainment.
We’ve also arranged smaller conferences for about 80 delegates at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers, with the same satisfactory results.
Working with the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers is characterised by high quality, positive attitudes and highly efficient logistics, making everyone confident in the result and most satisfied.
It goes without saying that this applies to all the staff at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers, from everyone involved in project management, catering and table service to technicians and reception. In short, we’ll happily recommend the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers!”
Event: Banquet for about 2,000 guests, plus get-together for 300 mingle guests per day
When: Held in November each year
“Bestseller arranges four seminars, with about 900 participants per session per year. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre succeeds very well in meeting our needs. Their responses are fast and they always manage to supply food and organise coffee breaks, even when the number of delegates increases without notice.
We also arrange our two-day big show, On Stage, in late November, with the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre providing a high quality three-course meal for 1,800 people each night, all in a highly professional manner.”
Nicklas Östling and Carina Jogevik
Event: Long Service Parties, about 900 guests per occasion
When: Held in November each year
“Every year for more than 50 years, Volvo has organised a Long Service Party, a festive occasion to honour all the employees who have been with the company for 25, 35 or 45 years. It’s known in-house as the ‘Little Nobel Banquet’. We’ve held these parties for many years at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, which always serves very good food and drink for a thousand people. The fact that the food is also hot is a feat in itself and very much appreciated by our guests. And it’s both impressive and entertaining to see how all the waiting-on staff work as a team!
When we organise large events we naturally look for a good working relationship. Quality and flexibility are important, too. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers always delivers. We look forward to many more years of working together.”

Event: Lunch for some 1,600 guests at Bryggan
When: Four-day annual Göteborg Book Fair
“We’ve worked with Gothia Towers for many years on a lounge concept, where Swedish master chef Leif Mannerström has inspired the choice of menu!
Four days every year, we’ve provided a varied and tasty lunch for friends and customers during the Book Fair. We’ve added an oyster bar, whisky tasting, pocket galas, etc. in the afternoons at the fair. During those few days we’ve served a total of about 1,600 people, had lots of fun and have met with professionalism, excellent cooperation and smooth-running and flexible implementation.
We’re particularly impressed by the way so many lunches were provided in such a short space of time, and the way the guests were made to feel welcome and looked after. You could say that they walked in and danced out!”

Event: Conferment of Doctoral Degrees, about 1,600 mingle guests and approximately 650 dinner guests
“The University’s annual conferment ceremony is a big event, with some 1,600 mingle guests and about 650 dinner guests. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre does a superb job in everything from planning the menu to serving fabulous food.
It’s a real pleasure to work with such knowledgeable and courteous staff. During the banquet, we just sit back and enjoy a well-organised festive occasion.”

Event: Seven-day conference, 750 delegates
When: September 2010
“We carried out our most complex event so far at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers in September 2010, involving 750 people for a whole week for an important client.
The event was awarded the Golden Wheel 2011 for best in-house company event. We wouldn’t have received the prize without the fantastic help and service provided by Marcus Hagemann and his team at the Event Catering section of the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre.
Our requirements were tough, and the catering logistics extremely complicated. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre really performed on top on every single day, and we can recommend them highly!”
